Statement of Faith

_________________________

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant in the original writings, Word of God and vital to one’s Faith. The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to man and makes clear the ways to peace, hope, and salvation.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm One; Hebrews 4:12)

We believe there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons:

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6)

We believe Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

(John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22;

1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28)

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God that is received by Faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ and the atoning death. God's love and grace is for everyone. He desires that all become “saved”, and wants a relationship with His creation - mankind.

(John 3:16; John 5:24; Romans 10:9,10; Titus 3:3-7)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within, teaches and guides Christians, so they are strengthened and empowered to live Godly lives.

(John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe in eternal life and that through Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

will spend eternity with the God in Heaven. We believe that those

whom reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, inherit the

consequences of that choice.

(Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We believe that the church is the family of God and that it is the responsibility of believers to seek fellowship, involvement, and support of the church’s mission. It is made up of “Believers”, who regularly join together for worship, fellowship, ministry and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

(Matthew 16:18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Hebrews 10:25).

We believe that the church has a responsibility to teach the Bible accurately so as to fulfill the teachings of the Scripture to equip it’s members for living their lives in a God pleasing manner.

 (Hebrews 10:25; 1 Corinthians 12:28)

We believe in fulfilling the Great Commandment and Great Commission as stated by Jesus. That it is the responsibility and privilege of every Christian to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to seek in making or growing disciples.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
